As far as I know, Dunhill's army mounts are the only pipes they ever made without a clear indicator of the exact year they were made. We can usually narrow them down to at least the decade however based on what is struck on the factory Sterling Bands. This one appears to have been made in the 1980's based on the 4103 stamp as well as the size of the white spot and I can typically look at the finish/blast and get a good idea as well due to changes from decade to decade that Dunhill made.... These army mounts have become increasingly popular recently as there are not a ton of them out there and they smoke fantastic. The 4103 is about the most classic Billiard shape ever made and sports a perfectly formed bowl with thick walls and a healthy chamber size. The shank is well proportioned and adorned with the brilliant AD 925 mount which holds the original vulcanite stem with wide fishtail bit for comfort and crisp white spot. The Shell finish is beautiful, burgundy with some reddish golden brown accents while the blast displays starburst on the left side with birdseye craters on the right. Clean throughout this Dunhill simply will not disappoint!
