You are bidding on a Conn saxophone. I don’t know much about these, so I’ll do my best to describe it. I don’t know anything about the working condition of it. Based on the serial number, I believe this is a New Wonder or Chu Berry model. Most of the buttons seem to open and close fine, but some do stick. I’m assuming it’ll need servicing.
It has a mouthpiece and cover. The mouthpiece has an eagle mark and says “Trademark.” There’s a small piece on a chain and I d...on’t know what it’s for. The piece says “Selmer.” There’s also an extra small piece of some sort and I don’t know what it is.
The silver finish on the entire saxophone is worn and tarnished. There’s also some corrosion on several parts of the body. I think all the mother-of-pearl pieces are still attached. One of the valves has an empty circle on top, but I don’t know if it had mother-of-pearl or just felt like some of the other bigger ones.
The only dent I can see is on the very bottom of the instrument. It’s going to need a lot of work though, which is why I’ve listed it as “for parts or not working.” The case has wear and damage as well. A lot of the black covering is missing on the backside. The lid looks like it’s come detached on both sides. The long side of the lid is still attached, so it doesn’t come apart but it could use some repair. The handle is very worn and the inside is faded and has wear. This would be a good project instrument and I think the bones of it are pretty good.
