Vintage early 1990's "The Microsoft Office" Version 1.0 in Retail box
Our family lived by Redmond and my dad worked for HP during the early PC era. Windows 3.x came along around 1990, worked great on a 286, and the gray box with the new Microsoft Office suite was usually part of the setup. These gray boxes were everywhere in homes and offices for years. I personally installed this set on my dad's PC around 1991. Floppy, by floppy, by floppy....60; It probably took 3 hours. Can barely find a picture of one of these boxes on the web now.
No idea what someone would value this one at. It seems to have become an unexpected rarity. I'll price it as a 20th Century artifact of historical and industrial significance and take offers. Maybe a big budget feature film needs one as a prop. Maybe not. I believe the content of disks and manuals is complete, but it's not practical to verify for certainty. Windows 3.x setup disks also in the box. Can't guarantee anything about the floppies other than that they are original. See pics for condition.
Includes disks for Windows 3.0, Windows 3.1 ( 3.1 added Windows for Workgroups network support.) Microsoft Mouse. Microsoft WIN/WORD 1.0, WIN/EXCEL 3.0, AND WIN/POWERPOINT 2.0.
Also included unused MS WORD Keyboard Template Overlay
