For sale is this incredible Arabic leaf from an Islamic book. This piece is a handwritten manuscript leaf. It was once bound as a complete work, and was likely some kind of Psalter, poetry, song book, or other similar piece. The work likely dates back to the 1500-1700’s, and is an incredible representation of Arabic literature/writing. It would have been written by a professional scribe, and sold to a wealthy individual. It appears that this is either a commentary of a work (with the... notes along the edges), or that this was an original document that was ‘noted’ on over the years of reading. This is a beautiful leaf and would look great as decor. I have owned thousands of Arabic leafs, and yet this one is in a very unique style, as it is one of the only I have owned of its type (with he side notes). There are some light flaws and some signs of aging. Please study the photos carefully as they are the best indicator of condition. This would be a great addition for any collection! It would look great framed, and would be a great conversation piece! Don’t pass it up!
