Nice Collection of 4 LARGE COLOR 11x14 AUTOGRAPHED & ENDORSED Photos of BOTH DAUGHTERS OF PRESIDENT LYNDON B. JOHNSON (WHILE PRESIDENT) !!DESCRIPTION: Scans show them all.....GREAT collection of vintage large color photos taken more than 50 years ago of BOTH DAUGHTERS of President Lyndon B. Johnson. Taken in the White House and taken while he was still president. All 4 are personally autographed WITH A PERSONAL NOTE by them!!! ALL PRESENTED TO MRS. MARY B. HOFFER, who must hav...e been a White House Secrestary or aide or helper that they felt particularly close to.ADDITIONAL RESEARCH SHOWS THAT MARY HOFFER WAS A WHITE HOUSE SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR. SHE IS SHOWN WITH LADY BIRD JOHNSON IN HER BOOK, "WHITE HOUSE DIARY".The second one shows a formal Christmas photo of Luci and her husband and baby son....dated Christmas 1968 and signed in Luci's hand: "to Mary Hoffer--from the parents of your most ardent admirer--with deep appreciation for your patience and friendly voice with Lyn and your warm and always capable manner with us. We will miss you terribly!" (Remember, this was after the election and 1 month before Johnson left the White House).The first one shows Luci Johnson and her fiance Patrick Nugent.....a great outside photo with the white house in the background. Dated Aug. 3, 1966, it is signed by both of them. In Luci's handwriting it says "To Mrs. Mary Hoffer, With Deep Appreciation for making the 'rings' in our life joyous ones!"The third one shows an embracing photo of Lynda Johnson with her fiance Chuck Robb. Signed at the bottom "To Mary Hoffer, With great appreciation for all your assistance".The fourth one shows Lynda's baby playing with a telephone in the white house, with the caption "Miss Mary, Hello Miss Mary...A GREAT COLLECTION, autographed with personal sentiments by the president's families, WHILE HE WAS PRESIDENT, and in the midst of the Viet Nam war. OVER 50 YEARS AGO. SOMETHING GIVEN TO A WHITE HOUSE ASSISTANT AND SO IDENTIFIED!!Great for framing or just to put with a collection of Johnson or White House or Presidential material. ALSO QUITE SUITABLE FOR FRAMING AND PUTTING ON THE WALL.GREAT DETAIL AND ACTION CONVEYED IN THE COMPOSITION & SCENES!!! You will not be disappointed with these.
