Overview
This is your chance to own something unique! Chinese ceramic vases are everywhere for sale, but never have I see one like this offered anywhere (except by me of course).

This is unique because this is a very thin and delicate white porcelain vase, ornately painted with cobalt blue with a textured finish from Jingdezhen, China. This comes from a limited edition design of a local artist, Liu Xianming.

When you hold this in your hand you will be amazed how it feels light as a feather, but still sturdy and hard. In the top view picture you can see how thin the porcelain is.

Don't be afraid to mix and match--be eclectic. In my pictures you can see I am mixing European, East Asian, and Middle Eastern art/decor; it looks great.
Jingdezhen is a small city in Northeastern China with a large history. If you have any interest whatsoever for porcelain you HAVE to own a piece from Jingdezhen.

Jingdezhen's porcelain has been famous not only in China but in time it became known internationally for being "as thin as paper, as white as jade, as bright as a mirror, and as sound as a bell". The late Guo Moruo, a famous historian wrote a poem that says (in translation): "China is well known in the world for its porcelain, and Jingdezhen is the most well-known centre, with the highest quality porcelain in China".

Most Jingdezhen porcelain is valued by collectors of antique porcelain throughout the world. According to media reports, a blue and white porcelain jars produced in Jingdezhen during the Yuan dynasty were auctioned for the equivalent of RMB 230, 000, 000 (about $33, 154, 500) in London in 2005. This was the highest price ever achieved by a piece of porcelain. The reason for the high price is experts believe it represents the pinnacle of the development of Chinese blue and white porcelain.
