Vintage Charleston Sweetgrass Gullah Basket With Handle & Lid By Matilda Fludd

Offered here is a vintage handmade Gullah Sweetgrass basket with handle and attached lid. This basket measures 11" in height from the bottom to the top of the handle and spans 10" from side to side. The opening is 7" in diameter. There was an original tag on the inside of the basket by the maker Matilda Fludd, of Charleston, SC. (She passed away in 2010) The basket came from a collector's estate and looks like it was never used.
It would make a great purse or sewing basket.&nb...sp;
