Up for your consideration are two snack bowls in the likeness of Mickey & Minnie mouse two of the most beloved cartoons that Walt Disney ever produced. In 1925, Hugh Harman drew some sketches of mice around a photograph of Walt Disney. These inspired sketches created what would become a new mouse character for Disney. In 1928 Minnie Mouse & Mickey Mouse became cartoon characters for Walt Disney Pictures. In many screen appearances Minnie Mouse is portrayed as the girlfriend of ...Mickey Mouse, a close friend to Daisy Duck, and a friend to Clarabelle Cow. In 1933 Walt Disney said in private that Mickey is married to Minnie but; to this day know one knows why it didn't go public. From 1928 until now Mickey and Minnie mouse have entertained adults and children of all ages on screen and comforted them to what Walt Disney termed the age of innocence where a boy friend and girl friend never stop dating each other in good times and bad times their hilarious antics continue to charm old and young alike.
The two snack bowls in this listing are made from melamine an easy to clean plastic introduced into the American mainstream marketplace in the 1960's. Melamine went dormant until today where ZAK designs are experimenting, once again, with melamine making it a come back especially in Mid-century Modern design and decorating circles and MCM is also making a comeback today. And, both of these throwback bowls are licensed by Disney and date 2014 (Mickey) and 2017 (Minnie). Licensed merchandise is merchandise that is endorsed by a film company like Disney Productions to promote Disney Productions on the open market and the merchandise automatically makes them very collectible as they are usually produced in limited quantities. Both snack bowls bear the impressed stamp: "Disney" underneath each bowl along with the designers name: "ZAK Designs."
The two snack bowls in this listing, a black one for Mickey mouse, and a pink one with a hair bow in the middle of the ears, for Minnie Mouse have a large round bowl for snacks like popcorn, potato chips, crackers, and other popular bag snacks. There are two smaller bowls for dips 'n' things like French onion dip, cheese spreads, or other appetizers. They are great for half-time snacks too as the larger bowl can hold a dozen or so of chicken wings and when both bowls are combined during a football game the smaller bowls will hold four dipping sauces like creamy blue cheese, honey Dijon, barbecue sauce, ranch dressing or other favorites of yours.
