Featuring dark colored bamboo shafts, this 2/1 is labeled as a Battenkill model and has bright nickel silver ferrules, translucent brown wraps over chrome guides, and a 12" cork handle with dual sliding bands and a butt plate to protect the bottom. I cleaned the ferrules with alcohol and added some dry bar soap to the male end. The rod seats together all the way in but it is tight. Taking it apart I used one person on the butt end while I pulled the top. Pop! it came apart no pro...blem . Both sections are full and straight, with serial 27145. The original gray bag and labeled tube accompany this early rod.
