Description A handsome large English antique/vintage solid sterling silver candle snuffer with a beautiful undamaged turned wood handle in excellent condition and with full English silver hallmarks for London 1990. Lovely quality genuine sterling silver example; (definitely not silver plated...), an impressive approx 11.75 inch size, it has a nice conical silver snuffer decorated with attractive faceted banding and has a silver ball end finial with spike end to help re-position the candle wicks. There are no added personal engravings and it weighs approx 43 grams. Great item.Measurements Large size, measures approx 11.75 inches (299mm) in length, the conical silver snuffer measures 3.55 inches (91mm) in height and is 1.25 inches (32mm) in diameter.Date English antique/vintage solid sterling silver with full English silver hallmarks for London 1990, (date letter "Q"). Good clear readable marks and the silversmiths initials are "CB".Condition Excellent condition with no splits or repairs, definitely no wear holes and no nasty knocks or dents, just 1 very minor little bruise, really nothing at all and a very nice genuine sterling silver example. The beautiful slender turned-wood handle is undamaged and there are no added personal engravings. Great size and a very nice item, ready to be used.
