Genuine Hand-Knotted Vintage 1950-1960s Primitive Tribal Ushak Rug from Western Anatolian-Turkey.
It comes within nice wool pile condition along primitive weaving double knot technique: Durable , strong rug for high traffic area.
It measures 6'7"×10" and is of hand spun wool pile symmetrically hand knotted on pure wool warp foundation. It would sell in retail $11.000....00
It was meticulously hand knotted on a family loom by a Turkish nomad weaver family in Oushak Province whose textiles and rugs are renown and sought in western Market. It would take 9 months to knot with 2 weavers such a beautiful intricately woven rug.
It features Oushak patterns, that are unique to the family who made it. It lays down flat and easy to clean , the fact that it's wool is hand-spun.
