For sale is a Sterling Silver Salver weighing 550g, made in Birmingham in 1939. It is 26.5cm wide and has four legs.There are various scratches on it and a small dent above the word ‘Brown’. It has not been cleaned recently and the back has not been cleaned for years which is why it looks dark.It says on it: ‘To Sir John Pigott-Brown With best wishes from the Tenants and Staff of the Doddershall Estate on the occasion of his Marriage. 6th April 1940.’
