Original Description:
This is an original printing plate for printing a Cooks Beer advertisement for Cooks Goldblume Beer, from the F. W. Cook Company Inc. Evansville, Indiana. The top reads : Now for a good old Cooks ! At the bottom it says: Cooks Beer the favorite for 96 years. So this dates it to 1949 or 50. This came from the Hulman Co. warehouse where it had been stored since the 1950s. Tony Hulman was the majority owner of Cooks Brewery when it closed in 1957.  Plate measures 8 3/8 inches wide by... 12 inches tall by 1 inch thick. This is a copper plate mounted on a wood block. It is a reverse image, so I suppose if you have ink and a press you could print with this. Plate has some light scratches. This is very unique piece of breweriana. See photos for details.
