This is a listing for an antique ivory satin wedding gown. It dates to the 1870’s or 80’s. It is overall in very good condition. A headpiece is included. There is no veil, just the headband and faux flowers. I will begin with the bodice. It shows signs of being “let out” along the side seams. There is a slight minor abrasion to the the fabric at back center. There is absolutely no staining under the arms. There is a little shattering to the interior lining. This is pretty minor... though. The seam at one shoulder is unraveling, and partly undone, but easily repaired. The bodice has three quarter length sleeves with removable lace cuffs. There is evidence that a lace collar was sewn on, but it is now missing. There is lace trim at the hem of the skirt that matches the lace cuffs. The following measurements were taken with the bodice laying flat on a table: Pit to pit 15 1/2”Shoulder to shoulder at top of shoulder 12 1/2”Waist 12” The skirt is in very good condition. The bottom edge has a pleated border. And lots of intricate lace visible when the train is held up. There is some darkening to the lace. As photographed.I took the following measurements with the skirt laying flat:Waist 13”Length at front 38”Length at back approximately 51”Length including train 67”Let me know if you require further measurements. This is an absolutely beautiful antique wedding gown. Despite its age it is in surprisingly strong condition.
