There is a small bulb on the underside of the handset, but the light is not working, it may need a new bulb or light repair as the wiring to the light seems to have been damaged. When turned on, figurine plays music. Though designed like a telephone, it is NOT a phone, buttons are not real for pressing. Item measures approx. 9" tall. Sold AS IS. Thank you for your interest!
