Here we have a Prehistoric Casas Grandes Small Round Mortar & Pestle (Metate And Mano) (Anasazi Hohokam) Artifact. This mortar is in very good condition it is complete with out any kind of damage or repairs. The Pestle is not the one that original one that went with it in fact it is a mono stone. There is not any kind of restoration. Pestle measures 8 3/4" across x 6" tall, the hole is about 3" deep. The little Mano stone measures 4 1/4" long 3 1/8" across 1 3/4" thick. It does not... sit straight unless you put it in the ground. It sits on its side like it is in the first photo and displays really cool that way. It is quiet heavy so I will ship it FedEx ground. This came out of the collection of Margret Cross of Phoenix Az. Her collection was all collected before the late 1960's.
