Vintage Winchester Sterling Silver Belt Buckle, Numbered. Condition is "Used" but has been in a collection and looks unworn. Will need polished. I left as is due to sellers preference for patinad look or shiney. Shipped with USPS First Class.
Sterling Winchester Repeating Arms Rifle Belt Buckle: Manufacturer: Adina Material: Sterling silver. Wow solid heavy gauge curved 3 7/8" x 2 3/16" x 1/8" thick (not including belt loop.) Marked PW in an oval, Adina Sterling also with foundry mark an in The buckle ring will take any belt up to 2 1/16" wide. This is from my Uncle Dekes huge collection of Belt Buckles. He turned 90 and decided to sell part of his collection. I was told that they only made 2500 of each buckle, so the number is the "serial number" up to 2500. Adina Silversmiths from what my research has led was a silversmith company in England. Tiffany & Co. had their stamp on some of the buckles as well as Adina. So, you have a rare, limited edition piece, and it was made between 1970-1975. I would put it closer to the 1970 mark.included is a letter my uncle sent to a dealer. Adina Silversmiths is out of business.
