Vintage British Shooting Tweed Blazer! This jacket is absolutely gorgeous! Made in Yorkshire, England, from traditional substantial Brockfell Tweed, one of the other lesser-known but highly sought after Scottish tweed weavers. First glance says classic brown herringbone, but closer inspection reveals mixture of forest greens, pewter, old gold and brackens with a r...epeating russet over-plaid. Made by Christopher Dawes of Yorkshire - no longer open - a very traditional English country clothing maker of highest quality finished goods. They used to supply to Harrods of London. This is utterly English design: half-belt shooting jacket, featuring - suede leather elbow patches, suede leather shooting patch on right shoulder, and traditional gusseted bi-swing back for ease of movement when tracking partridge in flight with your double gun. Two interior pockets and three exterior, with two of them deep, flapped bellows pockets for cartridges and other mufti, 1/4" lapped seams. deep single rear vent; faux horn buttons. Fully canvassed, and rayon fully lined. Medium to heavier weight, can be worn three seasons, or as outerwear. It is in excellent condition, no visible defects, smoke/pet-free environment.
