This is a very attractive Daiya Japanese Tin Friction airplane - the Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas, the last propeller plane made by Douglas before the jets appeared in 1959, so this model is very likely from the 1950s. Beautiful appearance, very little play wear, litho colors bright and shiny. Propellers are turned when the friction mechanism is pushed. 9.5" long and 11" wingspan, this great model was made by and marked Daiya Made in Japan. Like models of that day, ...they are not exactly accurate, as this plane has a tail wheel and no nose wheel, where the actual plane has only the nose wheel and no tail wheel!
