Jacques Mongin was one of the most celebratedmakers of traditional knives in France. His hand made folders show the highestquality of finish and materials. This is a larger version of the Cornillonmodel, with a single piece antler handle and broad, slightly upswept 4 ¾” (12cm) stainless blade. Classic ring-pulllocking mechanism. Typically impeccable Mongin fit and finish. Locks up tightwith no wobble. Has Mongin’s normal stamp “J.M. Forge MainNogent-Inox” in oval on... the tang. Blade has light stamping for “Renaud Paris, ”which is big cutlery shop. Excellent condition. Looks unused and uncarried. A beautiful and impressive knife to collect, or touse. The Mongin firm is still in operation but I don’t know if they are evenmaking this model anymore.
