An item from my late mother-in-law's estate, who lived in Hong Kong during the 70's and acquired this item. I can't tell the age of this item and can only provide pictures for you to examine.
This Chinese porcelain canister is in the form of garden stool. It has 3 double-coin symbol openwork with peaches on branch and butterflies in between. The lid has a double-coin openwork as well. Nice enamel painting with beautiful color. No enamel loss, no cracks or chips.&nb...sp;
It was used as a Potpourri container over the years since it has nice openwork all around and on the lid. I see it in some other uses as well such as candy jar as photographed in the last picture.
