Two rare pottery ceramic ashtrays in the form of baseball gloves from 1954. One bears the "signature" of Charlie Grimm, the Cubs Manager during the 1950s, and Andy Pafko who was on the team at the time. Both are glazed ceramic with the signatures part of the molded design. Both measure about 4 inches by 5 inches. On the back is hand lettered "Harrison Chevrolet-Cadillac, Janesville, Wisc." where these were used as advertising material. The owner of H...arrison knew Charlie Grimm, a Cubs player and later the Manager, and was given permission to use these as advertising for the dealership. Very rare as not many were made, and probably not many survived. Never used as an ashtray, these are both in perfect condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. This sale is for both ashtrays. A must for any Cubs collection, or any baseball collector, far more unique than an autographed baseball!! Satisfaction guaranteed. A paypal account is required for purchase and immediate payment is expected. Shipping is by USPS and a signature will be required upon delivery. Double boxed so shipping will be at the 5 pound rate.
