Vintage JOSE PINAL Carved Wood 'Jesus With Arms Opened Wide'. J. Pinal was a Mexican Modernist Folk Artist (1913-1983).  This carving was hand made by artist Jose Pinal. He was referred to as the "Mexican Picasso" and displayed his carvings at the San Francisco World's Fair in 1939 attaining international fame for his work.  Signed on the bottom of the turned wood base with a carved J. PINAL.  Aslo stamped on bottom with JP round logo.Condition:  Unfo...rtunately hands are missing, otherwise in excellent vintage condition.MeasurementsHeight: 13" Width: 6.5" (extended width)
