Classic American Four Poster Bed. Made of Solid Flame Mahogany or Walnut. Bolt-in Rails. American ca. 1890. Turned Posts and Feet. Raised Panel of Flame Grain on the Footboard. Very strong and sturdy. It has the simplicity and grace associated with hand made items of this era. Gloss Finish is commensurate with 100+ years of use. One foot shows damage.The headboard and footboard are 59" wide. The top of the posts are 60" tall. This bed falls... very close in size to a modern full. The slats are 54" wide. The rails are 80" long.
