C. Haynes, Chief of Observation Section, U. S. WeatherBureau. The latter book is recommended particularly for thosewho wish to make a more detailed study of meteorology.The Civil Aeronautics Administration has been accorded theunstinting cooperation of the United States Weather Bureau, theCivil Aeronautics Board, and the Government Printing Office, inpreparation of the publication. The pictorial illustrations wereexecuted by the Visual Services of the Civil Aeronautics Adminis-tration's Office of Aviation Information. Drawings of weathermaps were prepared by the U. S. Weather Bureau. So widespreadwas the participation of individuals that it is impracticable to ex-press appreciation specifically to all who have contributed directlyand indirectly to the planning, the accuracy of material, and theformat.ii
