1800s Grand Pacific Hotel Chicago teapot Reed + Barton silver solder 16 oz #491. Gorgeous authentic Grand Pacific Hotel silver plate teapot comes from estate of heiress from old Chicago family. Grand Palace operated from 1873 to 1895 and was one of 2 grand hotels built after the big Chicago fire. Razed in 1919 after several restructurings.
Single use teapot measures 7" long by just less than 4" tall. Good for 2-3 cups of tea depending on size of cup. Hinges work well. Pours well.... Light scratches from use, consistent with age. Minor tarnish but silver plate shows little wear. Wood on handle has whitened. Overall v good condit, with no dents or deep scratches.
