Civil War Colt Pistol Powder Flask E. Pluribus Unum Eagle & Stars Brass Scarce. Extremely scarce civil war period powder flask! This is one of the most beautiful deaigns eith the 13 stars and the eagle and shield it also has two crossed pistols and e pluribus unium. There is a very good chance this piece was carried and ised during the civil war by a union officer. The last one of this model to sell in brass solid for 250 dollars plus shipping i am pricing this less due to a few mi...nor condition issues! This would have come with a brand new army officer black powder pistol in the case set!
Now to address the few minor issues, it appears the previous owner decided it would display better polished so the whole flask has been polish and is rather shiny!the top steel piece that makes the flask function was broken off at some point a very common issue with these! It also has some minor splitting along the seems and exhibits use and wear but it clearly was a cherished piece by its previous owners! It is still full of powder! Very neat little piece of history that most likely saw some of the battles of the civil war!
