Original Description:
Up for bid is this nicely framed discharge paperwork for Leonard Rhodes, Private.  His captain was John E SimpsonCompany, (?), 59th Regiment of Indiana.   Discharged July 18th, 1865.  Gave his birthplace as Shangaign, Ohio.  He was 31 years of age, 5 feet, 9 3/4"  high, fair complexion, grey eyes, brown hair, and was a farmer at time of entry into service.    Please look closely at photos as they serve as part of description.  The edges were... turned under about a 1/4" so as to fit into the frame.  I believe the frame to be of the same period.  Frame measures 10 5/8" x 12 1/2".  Paper is about 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" not counting the bit thats turned under.   If you have any questions, please contact me.
