You are bidding on a soft bound oblong book titled The Marines At Parris Island, South Carolina. Published by Ira A. Miller and G.A. Emerson by Permission of The Navy Department. The book belonged to U.S. Marine P.M. Hart whom would later serve on President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Secret Service detail. I would date the book around 1920. It features A Brief History of the U.S. Marine Corps and A Brief History of Parris Island. 51 pages. Illustrated with 95 historical photos. 9 1/4 inch...es wide x 6 inches high. The book is in very good condition. The pages are clean. The center section that contains 4 pages is loose or detached. A nice addition to any U.S.M.C. collection. Good luck!
