Low starting price... For your consideration is a Authentic WW II USN N-1 Deck Jacket USS Capitaine SS-336 (2) Combat War Patrols. You can google and research the history behind the submarines SS-336 & SS-153 As you notice 153 is written on the jacket my guess is whomever worn this jacket also served on the SS-153 submarine which seen action in the Battle of Coral Sea. I haven't walked through history with this jacket so i honestly dont know if the sailor who wore this jacket ...went on those war Patrols and sat in Hawaii or launched the torpedoes that sunk those enemy ships. The condition is as pictured. Fair condition my opinion only considering the age. The jacket is soiled from usage. It may clean up with dry cleaning but it maybe soild for life. No visible tears on the outer jacket besided the cuffs (see picture). The cuffs have some tears. The zipper is non functional and several buttons are missing. Slight odor from being stored. NO moth bites or outer deteration other than cuffs that i noticed. I 100% guarantee the authenticity of the jack. The condition is subjective and you as the buyer are the sole judge on condition. So please review pictures prior to bidding and ask questions... Its not mint but its authentic and rare.... More pictures available upon request. I have other WW II items up for auction this week. I combine shipping on multiple winning bids. Thanks for looking. I hate to let the jacket go, I hope you can enjoy the history of this jacket as i have.
