For auction is a beautiful reverse painted table lamp made by The Pittsburgh Lamp and Brass Company of Pittsburgh, PA. The shade blank is done in the chipped ice or glue chip method with both obverse and reverse painting on it. The table lamp stands 22 3/4" tall and the shade has a diameter of 16".The shade displays a very vibrant and colorful landscape scene of what collectors call "The 9 Lakes of Killarney". The colors are just wonderful as there is beautiful light purple and amber f...or the evening sky. The mountains and the lake show all the other colors that are natural with nature such as rust, yellows, greens, browns, and lots of purple throughout. The scenic appears to be an early evening one with the sun setting behind the mountains. You can see bushes, lakes, and shoreline and a very realistic 3 dimensional view. The painting is done on the "obverse" front side and "Reverse" on the inside. This is one of Pittsburgh Lamp's most desirable and highly collected reverse painted lamps. The shade sits on a 2 light, mixed metal base with a nice aged patina. The style of the base is what I would describe as a beaded spindle with garland on the foot. There are two original tassel pull chain sockets that are in excellent working order. The patina is done in brown black and considered to be in very good to excellent condition with normal age wear.This table lamp overall is in excellent condition. The condition of the shade and base is outstanding for nearly 100 years of use. I see no missing paint on the shade, actually this is the nicest example of this shade I have ever offered for sale. You simply do not find these shades like this one anymore. There is some patina wear just underneath the shade rest and this is pictured. It cannot be seen when shade is mounted. Everything is original except for the antique style black rayon cord, even the plug is original. The lamp has been professionally rewired and both socket pull chains are in good working order. This lamp has both its original sockets in it. The shade has no chips or dings and the base shows minor wear. The lamp is signed on the weight that is inside the base and cannot be seen. This is a well documented lamp as it appears in "Quality Electric Lamps" by L-W Book sales page 138. This is clearly a Pittsburgh table lamp 100% and not a marriage!!.Purchase with confidence as these reverse painted lamps are much more affordable than Handel and Pairpoint lamps. These lamps have been a worthy investment that has risen steadily for the past 30 years. I'm quite sure the buyer will be well pleased with their purchase.

I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for.They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 11.5% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 11.5%. This is an increase of 8.6% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 11.5% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
