This is a simply PERFECT white knit button down jersey featuring the classic RED SOX sewn on front in red material, outlined in navy. Reverse features matching sewn 44 (names not used on the home jerseys). Left sleeve a thick black armband and individual red fabric JRY letters sewn on in memor...y of Red Sox owner Jean R. Yawkey who passed away prior to the 1992 season. Thin red trim sewn around the collar and body. Darwin added a perfect black autograph to the left chest area.TAGGING: The standard Wilson tag is sewn on the front left exterior tail area (SIZE 44) with an additional tag sewn underneath (CT indicating a date of manufacture June 1990) and a fabric tag with black Swiss style embroidery below, 90 (indicating 1990). Although tagged 1990, it's common practice for teams to use prior year shells and number them at a later time for game use, as is the case with this gem.
This jersey is in PERFECT shape showing very nice overall use and also appears to be in the same 100% original condition as worn by Darwin at Fenway Park during the 1992 season. Many of the 1992 Red Sox home jerseys have the black arm band and JRY letters removed or even restored. This jersey features the original arm band and letters.
