Original Description:
Again, there is no original wire attachment on the handle, the item is as pictured, and it is an authentic Japanese Naval Officer's sword from WW 2. The condition is fair, the item has been stored in a closet for about 70 years. The blade is shiny, but the scabbard shows signs of age with minor cracking and the brass is faded (Never cleaned/shined). The item is original and has never been restored or cleaned with chemicals or solvents. Appropriate restoration actions could im...prove the appearance and value. Sold as is.
