Offered here is this scarce, original pair of WWII German Kriegsmarine binoculars. This Type II model is 7x50, and bear the wartime code BEH, for Ernst Leitz of Wetzlar. The serial number dates these to 1943. 8" in overall length. These are sometimes referred to as "u-boat" binoculars, but they were used on surface ships also. These are rubber armored, but on this pair only the center section remains, and it is still in good condition. The optics are in good alignment and, ...although there is some minor haze, the resolution is crisp. The diopter adjustments for each eye are fully functional. The barrels are worn so most of the leather is now missing. They were painted black at some point after the war. Hard to find in any condition, this would be a great pair for restoration! Offered with no hidden reserve and a low starting bid. Buyer to pay priority post and insurance. (12.00) Combined post on multiple purchases. Three-day inspection/ return on all items I offer if not as described. US shipping only. Thanks.
