WW2 Instrument of Surrender of Japan Original Facsimile Print from USS Missouri September 2, 1945 Authentic 14 x 20 inches on correct government watermarked heavy stock. There is speculation as to how many of these were printed aboard The USS Missouri on Sept 2 1945. Officially there were about 40 red leather bound editions which were given to Generals, Dignitaries, Etc. Then there were supposed to be about 70 printed and given to staff officers and other atte...ndees. We have had a variation of this original surrender with a two star government watermark and this variation with a one star government watermark. The estate we acquired this from stated it was from a family member, through marriage, who was aboard USS Missouri during the official surrender ceremony; unfortunately this was all they were able to provide. This is an absolutely fantastic piece of history, very few known to exist, and rarely available for sale.
