Plitt bottler beer soda York PADescription: Up for sale is this 1909 advertising Calendar plate featuring a very confident girl / woman (Think Gibson, Christy, or Fisher) in a bright yellow swimsuit sitting on a dock. I have seen quite a few 1909 calendar plates by this company and this is by far the le...ast common (most feature a girl in car, in sleigh, or a girl in blue swimsuit). This is one is the brightest and most charming. This calendar plate has some unique decoration in that the moths are groups in pairs of 2 and each 2 has a unique flower/plant border appropriate to those months (i.e. November & December feature Holly leaves & berries). Please check our other listings and when possible we will reduce shipping if multiple lots are purchased. Size : approx. 9 inches in diameterMarks : G. F. Plitt bottler York PA on front - Carnation McNicol on backCondition: Excellent Vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Image is strong & bright. The only issue that I can see is slight rubbing of gold trim around edge and letters at bottom of image are slightly worn.. Unless Specifically stated as new or unused, many of our items are pre-loved pieces moving on to new homes. This means they may show a certain amount of wear commensurate with their age but I endeavor to identify any significant flaws or damage.
