Up for auction is a vintage or antique hand carved wood hinged box. The box measures approximately 15 1/8" long x 9" wide x 4 3/8" tall and features carved flowers or roses on the lid. The person I acquired this box from kept a family bible in it for years but it could be used to hold anything. It is in good condition for its age but does have a crack along the top of the lid and various nicks and scratches. It is not perfect but has a nice patina and displays wonderfully. *The inside WAS lined and is unstained. The original lining was removed and discarded some time ago. It could be relined or left as it is.
