Beautiful vintage pennant from the AA minor league Nashville Vols. Based on the graphics, colors and style, I would guess this pennant to be from the mid to late 1950's to very early 1960's. The pennant measures 8 1/2 by 26 3/4 inches in size (not counting the tassels), just a shade under the size of a standard, full sized pennant. This one is in excellent condition, nice and clean with light, general overall wear (please see pictures). It has 3 tack holes, one in eac...h corner and it still possesses a very nice sharp tip. The tassels are still securely attached to the pennant. This piece not only pays tribute to the Nashville Vols but also their classic ballpark, Sulphur Dell. Sulphur Dell is the current location of the modern day Nashville Sounds new ballpark. This is the exact design the Oxford Pennant company out of Buffalo, NY used to make their reproduction Vol's pennant they are currently offering for sale. This one was a local estate sale find and it is the real deal. I could find no other original examples of this style pennant offered or previously offered for sale anywhere! Free Shipping.
