ABOUT:Multiple available in addition to these four! These would be beautiful at the head table at a wedding or shower! Would also make a very unique and thoughtful gift for a hostess friend. This four-piece set is the perfect touch to help you set a unique table. Four beautiful Continental / .800 Silver Figural place card / label holder vases. I am selling these as a set of four, but I have a few additional if a larger set is desired so please reach out. I had bo...ught a large lot of these to keep some for myself - they pair perfectly with my Portmeirion Botanic dishes. But I didn't need that many so I am listing the others. I was told they are Italian in origin and the 800 mark indicates solid 800 parts per thousand silver. They are NOT silver plated, they are solid silver and they polished up beautifully with some nice age-appropriate patina remaining to make designs stand out.Naturalistic figural place card holders with a detailed leaf or lilypad base and a standing flower on top which serves as a bud vase and then a side stem with a bud that has a small slit to hold a card. These can be used to assign seats, or I often use mine to label dishes if I am serving a group buffet style. I sometimes use cut sprigs of herbs like rosemary in mine for seasons when there are no flowers blooming. : )MEASUREMENTS:These are petite little pieces - Each one stands a little over 2 1/4 inches tall, and 2 inches wide at the widest part of the base. The flower vase is about an inch in diameter which tapers to the small trumpet shaped bottom. The combined weight of the set is 71 grams of Continental silver.MARKS AND PATTERNS:They are marked 800 for .800 silver. No makers marks on them that I could find but the person I bought them from said they could possibly be attributed to Fratelli Coppini, and I did find some identical ones attributed to him but I am not sure without a makers mark.IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:Please note this set is in estate condition with some surface wear and scratching from use and polish. I see a few slight small bends here or there on one petal or a pin ding in the vase, I tried to show all of this in photos. Quite a few stubborn tarnish spots but I didn't want to polish too aggressively and risk bending them. A few surface scratches and then to the underside of the bases - some indented scratch which is not visible, but other than that they have held their shape well. Again some areas of stubborn tarnish and scratching so...Please note this set is not in mint condition. Still very neat and interesting pieces.I have many more pieces of sterling flatware listed so please see my other auctions and create a set!SHIPPING:I ship internationally using the Global Shipping Program and due to the high cost of shipping, I don't allow returns so please see photos and condition notes closely!I dearly love, collect, use and sell antique American sterling silver flatware and housewares including Tiffany and Co., Gorham, Durgin, Shiebler and more!
