1970 SCHWINN PEA PICKER KRATE MUSCLE BIKE FRAME VINTAGE DELUXE STINGRAY 5-SPEED! Click Photos to Enlarge
Description Here is... a rare original April 1970 Schwinn Stingray "PEA PICKER" or Deluxe 5-speed 20" Krate MUSCLE BIKE! (DF Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!)This one still wears its ORIGINAL PAINT. WOW! Comes as shown and includes the correct 5-speed frame with rear brake caliper hanger, kickstand, head badge, bearing cups, and what you see. The chainguard mounts are in place!
This is agruably one of the very COOLEST Schwinn bikes of all time! EVERY kid wanted one back in the day... few were lucky enough to own one. You did not see them often back in the day, and almost NEVER see them in any condition these days! They were designed after the drag racing muscle cars of the time! They hit the nail on the head with this one! They are SO cool!Maybe you have a bike that has been repainted, rusty, or damaged. This could be a perfect place to swap your parts. Original paint is always best and holds the most value!
*The Krate series of bikes is awesome! (they made the Orange Krate, Apple Krate, Pea Picker, Cotton Picker, and Grey Ghost) These are awesome bikes and better than money in the bank! These bikes continually go UP in value and will make for a great investment!
