Original Description:
Super and unusual uniform find from WWI which has been stored in a closet for years by the family. The US Navy officer coat has the overseas bullion mark on the left sleeve and the original period WWI Atlantic Fleet US Victory Medal to prove he was in the war. There is some mothing to the coat; see the photos. The collars have metal anchors with bullion cord rope. The coat has all of its buttons in the front and black braid trim around the collar, down the front and also down the back.... It measures about 18 1/2 inches pit to pit. The matching officer pants have a button fly (top button missing) and gold bullion braid on each side from the waist down. I did see a moth hole on the right leg abound the knee area. The waist is about 28 inches with and adjusting strap in the back and an inseam of about 31 1/2 inches. I did not find an owner's name in the uniform. I don't find WW1 uniforms at all any more, especially Navy, so the Victory Medal and emblems alone are well worth the starting bid.From a  smoke-free environment, being sold as pictured.
