The artist who created this masterpiece was a skilled needlesmith!!! This is a heavy piece, weighing in at about 6 lbs, as the weave is very tight. It features a unique pattern of popcorn stitches around each of the 3-dimensional floral patterns in the middle of each hexagon. The hexagons measure 11 inches to each flat edge and 13 inches between opposing points. There are 7 squares across (76 inches wide) and 8 squares from top to bottom (83 inches long). ...The top and bottom edges are straight while the sides are scalloped (following the edges of the hexagon) finished off with a 5" fringe. There is noticeable but slight discolorations in areas of the piece. We purchased this piece "used" so am unsure of source of these variations in color, but could be due to improper storage. See pictures. There are no holes, tears, or unraveling. Please ask if you have questions about anything concerning this beautiful piece. I would rather answer all questions before bidding ends so there are no surprises, no returns, as neither of us want to be disappointed.
