A vintage and rare watch "Chaika" that was produced in 1970s. On June 16, 1963, on the spacecraft "Vostok-6" Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova made her first space flight (the world's first flight of a female cosmonaut), which lasted almost three days. In honor of this historic event, all watches produced by the "Uglich Watch Factory" began to be produced under the brand name “Chaika” (Valentina Tereshkova's call sign was "Chaika").

The watch has a very unusual dial that reminds a stadium or a fish eye. By pressing the button that is at 8 o'clock the date is changed. The case is gold-plated (the "AU10" mark in on the surface (10 microns)). Under the hands there’s the inscription“Made in the USSR”. There'salso the mark "SU" on the 2616.2H mechanism, that means it was made in theSoviet Union. The bright green dial perfectly goes with a new leather strap of the same color and looks unusual and awesome on the hand.
For its age (near 50 years old) the watch is in a great condition. It runs well and keeps time accurately. The mechanism was serviced by a professional watch master. The day and the day switch quickly and without problems. There are some scratches and scuffs on the case, its backside and the crown. The watch goes with a new leather strap.
