The retail label of the iconic cutlery store G. Lorenzi, Montenapoleone 9, of Milan, Italy, is below the embossed Apollo label in the case's interior. The store closed in 2014. Age: The Mikron was patented in 1949 and produced from around 1950 to around 1960. Composition: The original green leather case and two blade boxes are included, along with the original German language instruction sheet, a small sharpener in its case, an Apollo blade in its original wrapper and another unidentified blade, which remains in the razor.
Condition: The set is in overall excellent condition for a razor of its age. It has not been cleaned or polished and would benefit from both. The sharpener case has a small dent and the Bakelite handle is missing a tiny piece between the 2 and 3 settings - that's visible in the photos. The case zipper works but its handle is slightly rusty and the zipper itself could use a bit of lubrication. Size: The case is 5 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/8 inches tall. The razor is 3 3/8 inches long and the head is 1 3/4 inches wide and 1 inch deep. The sharpener case is 1 5/8 inches long. The leather case with all its contents weighs 5.2 ounces. Please check all the photos very carefully - they're an important part of the description.
