The first document is an original letter from the 2nd Admiral of the North Sea, Vice Admiral Helmuth Brinkmann
It is about the petty officer who is reported missing in this letter. Since I have other documents of this petty officer, I know that he survived and was taken prisoner in Marseille, France, from where he was released in 1948.

2. Letter by the Seawater road office in Emden from 1947 with the following text:
Seawater road officeEmden, 10. november 1947To sergeant Gerhard Hagemann, prisoner of war # 281618, camp number 148, camp in St. Etienne (Loire) in FranceBy order of the Maritime Transport Headquarters in Hamburg, in recognition of your satisfactory work performance as a water worker, you have been appointed water construction worker, effective April 1, 1947. The Seawater road Office congratulates you on this appointment and wishes you a soon and good return home
