Henckels knife sharpening steel was made IN GERMANY with a white handle that is more scarce than hen's teeth. The odd thing is it was sold under their Professional S series but the corresponding steel with a black handle was sold under their Four Star ...line! Either way it remains the perfect tool for keeping your gourmet knives of any brand honed to a razor's edge. It comes lightly used but still in excellent condition with a heavy 10" rod (it measures 16" long overall, including hang-ring).
It's handle is ergonomically correct molded composite, virtually impervious to corrosion or other damage, strengthened at top with a steel band and with a solid metal ring at the pommel that is VERY high quality and very beautiful. Like all Henckels products, it's fit and finish are superb and its graceful lines will look right at home in any gourmet kitchen, amateur or professional alike.
