Vintage 1940s Pake Muu Crepe Rayon Dress B38 Hawaiian Surf By Pacific Sportswear

From the 1940s and Hawaiian Surf by Pacific Sportswear Honolulu comes this vintage Hawaiian Pake Muu dress in a crepe rayon (I recommend dry cleaning) with a fabulous dragonfly and floral print in blues, yellow, white, purple, and just a touch of red. (This fabric reminds me of a crepe rayon kimono fabric.) This long pullover dress has traditional Pake Muu Asian-inspired styling with a mandarin collar, a two fabric and knot front closure in contrast yellow as well as a left side metal ...zipper closure, padded shoulders, and unique angel wing three-quarter length sleeves (each with a 10 inch deep slit). This made in Hawaii dress is a vintage size 14 and should fit a contemporary 8 -- the bust measures 38 inches, the waist measures 30 inches, the hips measure 40 inches, and it's 57 inches long from shoulder to hem with a 13 inch deep side slits. Sleeve length measures 13 inches, and shoulder to shoulder measures 16 inches. In good vintage structural condition, the dress is flawed with minor spotting down its front as well as major spotting at its hem. (Please see my photos.) Some of these items may need to be dry-cleaned or at least pressing -- I'll start the bids low to compensate for this. Ours is a nonsmoking home, but we do have a dear tabby cat.
