This superb four blade "G.E.C" "Magnet" fan, made in the 1930's or 40's is in "as found" condition.The fan body, cage and blades have retained much of its' original painted and oxidised copper finish.However, it does have the usual paint chips, marks, scuffs and scratches that you would associate with an item of this age.There are no splits or cracks to the four blades or cage, that I can find, and the central brass boss has the ''G.E.C." logo.The plate to the bottom of the base has t...he makers details and information on it, the gold logo to the rear of the stand has faded.The on/off switch is present and moves at it should and the blades rotate smoothly.The fan has its' original wiring.We have been unable to test the fan, so we are unsure if it is in working order.It is sold as a "collectable item" and if being bought to use, it would need to be checked and refurbished by a qualified electrician or engineer before use.The fan measures 47 cm (18 1/2 inches) to the top of the cage.
