This is a vintage leather, Swiss Army belt pack/shoulder bag, case or pouch, made by W. Luginbuhl, Sattlerin Durrenroth, Switzerland. (I am not sure of its intended use, but mostinternet posts describe it as an ammunition (ammo) case.) It measures 8 incheswide across the top and 7-½ inches across the bottom. It is 4-¼ inches high and1-½ inches thick. The total length of the shoulder strap is 23-½ inches. (Thestrap was made by cutting a ¾ inch-wide strap down the middle, splitting ...it, then stitching along the cut to reinforce it.)It has a series of impressedmarkings on the back – “W. LUGINBUHL, SATTLER, DURRENROTH, ” the number 64 orthe numbers 6 and 4 (possibly for the year it was made, 1964) and the SwissCross above “Sz.” There’s also an illegible stamp on the inside of the flapthat probably says, “MADE IN SWITZERLAND.”(PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS andfeel free to ask any questions.)I don’t see any wearconsistent with use, so it’s probably been laying around in storage somewhere.There are rough areas on the front and back surface of the leather and someindentations. The leather has no cracks or dry areas (it still has that leathersmell) and the stitching looks great. The top of the flap has creasing frombeing opened and the latch band has some wear and creasing.
