This very moving image of a sad clown is a vintage French or Belgian oilon canvas signed “A. Geenen”. This painting was done after theexamples in Leon Franks' “how to paint” book, “Clownand Characters”, published in 1960. Leon Franks (1914-1970), Canadianpainter, studied in Paris at the AcadémieJulian and atthe Grande Chaumière and then in LosAngeles. Bea...utifully painted, this piece is in good condition with theexception of normal signs of wear on the surface due to age. Please referto the detailed photos on this page.
